Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using DraftingHero (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

DraftingHero provides AI-assisted review of mechanical engineering drawings. You upload PDF drawings, and the Service analyzes them and reports potential drafting issues, missing information, and manufacturability concerns.

Important — engineering disclaimer: the Service is an assistive review tool, not a substitute for professional engineering judgment. AI-generated findings may be incomplete or incorrect, and the absence of reported issues does not mean a drawing is free of defects. You remain solely responsible for verifying all drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications before manufacturing, and for compliance with applicable standards and regulations. DraftingHero is not a licensed engineering service and does not provide professional engineering certification.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Your Content

You retain all ownership of and intellectual property rights in the drawings and other content you upload. You grant DraftingHero a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service to you (including transmitting drawing images to our AI provider for analysis). Your content is never used to train AI models. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload the content you submit, including any confidentiality obligations you owe to third parties.

5. Plans, Billing, and Cancellation

• The Free plan is offered with monthly usage limits and requires no payment method.
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Prices are shown on the pricing page and may change with advance notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle.
• You can cancel at any time from Settings → Manage Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; access continues until then. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Usage quotas (uploads, reviews, pages per review) reset on the 1st of each calendar month and do not roll over.
• If a payment fails, we may retry the charge; continued non-payment may result in downgrade to the Free plan.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• upload content that is unlawful, that infringes others' rights, or that is subject to export controls you are not authorized to share (including ITAR/EAR-controlled technical data);
• attempt to circumvent usage limits, probe or disrupt the Service, or access other users' data;
• resell or provide the Service to third parties as a service bureau without our written consent;
• use the Service to build a competing dataset or product.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

You control how long your drawings are retained via the retention policy in Settings. You may delete individual reviews or your entire account at any time, which permanently removes your uploaded PDFs, rendered images, and associated records.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT REVIEW RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DRAFTINGHERO WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING MANUFACTURING COSTS, SCRAPPED PARTS, LOST PROFITS, OR PRODUCTION DELAYS — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON REVIEW RESULTS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE (OR $50 IF YOU PAID NOTHING).

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create risk for the Service, with notice where practicable.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the Service or email before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
