Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Your engineering drawings are valuable intellectual property. This policy explains what DraftingHero collects, how it is used, and the controls you have. The short version: we collect only what is needed to run the Service, your drawings are never used to train AI models, and you can delete your data at any time.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: email address, name, and optionally your company, provided when you sign up or edit your profile.
• Uploaded content: the PDF drawings you upload and the page images rendered from them for review.
• Review results: the AI-generated findings, summaries, and your feedback on them, linked to your account.
• Billing information: subscription status and plan tier. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your card number.
• Operational metadata: timestamps, usage counts (for quota enforcement), and error logs. We do not log drawing contents, AI prompts, or extracted engineering data.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the Service: storing, rendering, and reviewing your drawings.
• To enforce plan limits and process subscription billing.
• To secure the Service and prevent abuse.
• To communicate with you about your account or the Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your drawings or review data for advertising.

4. AI Processing

To perform a review, rendered images of your drawing pages are transmitted securely to our AI provider (Anthropic) for analysis. We use API terms under which customer data is not used to train AI models. Review requests are processed transiently and are not retained by the provider for training purposes.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

You control retention of your drawings via the retention policy in Settings (delete immediately after review, after 24 hours, after 7 days, or manual deletion only). When you delete a review or your account, the associated PDFs, rendered images, database records, and cached data are permanently removed. Billing records required for tax and accounting purposes are retained as required by law.

6. Service Providers

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the Service, each processing data only as needed to provide their function:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and private file storage.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Anthropic — AI analysis of drawing images.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.

7. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Drawings are stored in private buckets protected by row-level security, and file access uses short-lived signed URLs. API keys are held server-side and never exposed to browsers. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we treat security as a first-class feature.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can exercise most of these directly: edit your profile in Settings, delete individual reviews, or delete your entire account. For anything else, contact us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children and may not be used by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the Service or email before they take effect. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
